Here is a bright, eye-catching, doubly-terminated, totally gem "Herkimer diamond" specimen from the famous occurrences in Upstate New York. This stout crystal is super glassy and water-clear, it's also one of the finest miniature examples of this material I have ever seen! This is a fantastic display piece with an absolutely perfectly formed, doubly terminated Quartz crystal hosting a few dark petroleum inclusions for added interest. It's completely transparent with superb luster and totally complete 360 degrees with no damage and no point of attachment. It also exhibits a faint smoky hue increasing its already amazing aesthetics. It is, literally, as close to a jewel as these come, perfectly formed, with a mass of 43.9 grams. Just a jewel! Stuart Strife spent the time and money, and down here in Houston Texas he built the finest Herkimer collection on a piece by piece basis. This was one of the very few smaller specimens in the collection of mostly larger items. Stuart Strife to Richard Rossi collections.
