A sharp, unusual specimen of the famous Herkimer Diamond quartz specimens from upper New york, famous for the naturally "faceted" looking shapes. The specimen hosts two dramatic crystals sitting lengthwise, of approximately 6 and 4.5 cm across, sitting atop a natural pedestal of dolostone. It looks carved, we admit, but this is entirely natural and is a superior aesthetic specimen in the size range, also complete all around! Custom lucite base is included. This is an old classic, probably from 1980s finds, and from the Bill Metropolis collection (private collection, former curator at Harvard).
