A classic combination specimen featuring one of the famous Cinnabar crystals from Tongren, China, but with unusual contrasts of the two vertically rising crystals of red and white... Rising upright from the fluorescent Dolomite matrix, the single, sharp, modified, 1.4 cm Cinnabar is basically triangular at first glance (technically, not...but it sure looks it), with a beveled termination, great metallic luster, and good gemminess. When backlit, the cinnabar crystal just glows with color. The Quartz crystal, 6 cm long and doubly-terminated, is a terrific complement to the Cinnabar and the Dolomite. Both the Quartz and Cinnabar have the slightest amount of wear on just a few edges, but this trivial amount has no effect on the outstanding balance and aesthetics of this small-cabinet specimen. Highly-representative of this great locality, I love the visuals of this piece. Old material from the 1990s
