Large Rose Quartz crystals are rare from anywhere in the world, but Brazil seems to produce a few exceptional pieces like this from time to time. This cluster actually has very large crystals of this varietal that measure up to 2 cm in length and 2.2 cm in cross-section, combined with intense and saturated color! We are not overdoing our color in photos and videos, and trust me that this is even better in person - and certainly more saturated and colorful than nearly all others you will ever see for sale, although comparing from online photos is difficult. Lastly in terms of quality, it has fabulous luster along with strong color and crystal size. This one is from one of the modern Brazilian localities for Rose Quartz, the Pitorra Claim - but from early finds here as Jack purchased this in the 1990s. The crystals are transparent to translucent with good luster and perfect terminations all across the top and even complete all around! For added interest, all of the crystals exhibit subtle, stepped growth features on both the prism and pyramidal faces. This is a special Rose Quartz piece from the Jack Halpern collection because of its great attributes and extreme crystal size. It represents his top level of quality, combining beauty and context.
