Rose Quartz for some reason, is quite rare in nature. Rose Quartz also normally forms in jumbled rosettes and clusters, and seldom - even in small sizes - as isolated textbook crystals the way we see smoky quartz and clear quartz from 100s of locales around the world! Large isolated crystals of rose quartz are almost unheard of... and yet, here is a shocking, isolated, doubly-terminated, single large crystal of rose quartz, 7 cm from complete tip to complete tip. We have never seen another specimen quite like this. Admittedly the color is a pale pastel pink, not strong as some, but it IS a definite rose quartz crystal and it is complete and isolated, perched on contrasting feldspar matrix. A surprising find, from (at the time) recent mining in the early 2000s when he purchased it and long in the Sean Lincoln collection. See the video for a better idea of the specimen as it is somehow hard to photograph.
