One of the rather more unusual of old European classic minerals are these green quartz crystals, often referred to be the somewhat antique name as Prase or Prasem. The green color is due to hedenbergite inclusions within the quartz, dispersed so evenly that early mineralogists thought this might be a different quartz species. This is a particularly elegant old example, with a freestanding cluster rising 5.2 cm above matrix.
