Co-type locality and exceptional for the species. Several, well-formed, 1 to 3mm, vitreous, transparent to translucent, crystals of quintinite (quintinite-2H polytype) exhibiting darker orange-peach cores with very pale orange rims are aesthetically perched at the top of this piece associated with some unidentified white microcrystals. Subhedral cleavage masses of white strontianite are located in the matrix adjacent to the quintinite. A contrasting carbonatite matrix is the host to this piece and is composed of coarse-grained black magnetite, greenish phlogopite and white calcite. Ex. Paulo Matioli collection.
