What an absolute stunner of a rhodo with crystals you can look right through to 1 cm thick! These gemmy, cranberry-colored scalenohedrons usually have broken tips but these are more pristine than most with the tiniest of cleaves only. I am normally the most anal of anybody with regards to that issue, but with 1970s Nchwaning rhodos, I make an exception because nearly all show minor tip damage if not worse, and so it goes with the territory. A killer competition-level large thumbnail! Found in the late 1970s (1978-1979) and not of this quality since... 2.5 x 2 x 1.5 cm
