INCREDIBLY gemmy and glassy, bright cherry-red rhodochrosite scalenhedrons on matrix. The gemminess and intense red color saturation just explode into yours eyes. Few rhodos from anywhere have this amazing color intensity and gemminess. This gorgeous piece is not from the famed Nchwaning II MIne, but rather is an older piece, probably from the 1960s, from the Hotazel Mine. Ex. Rice Museum Collection.
