This is a very impressive large cabinet specimen of transparent calcites on matrix. Very 3-dimensional! For scale, the crystal at the center right measures 9 cm. The crystals are in great condition, with just one very small cleave to be found on one crystal, other than the normal cleaves at the periphery of the specimen. The calcites sit on a field of included quartz crystals for sharp contrast. One rarely sees such large Dal'negorsk plates as they are often broken up to make more salable, and transportable, smaller specimens.
