Very unusual Amethyst piece from Brandberg featuring doubly terminated crystals that are both sceptered and with phantoms, and the character of the piece is quite different from back to front! One side highlights the sharp crystal faces and terminations of two distinct orientations of the Amethyst crystals and their sceptered nature. All of the crystals have a marked, elongate, dark purple phantom core extending through the length of each crystal with the robust, vertical scepter having an Amethyst spire extending through the center of it! The horizontal crystal is a doubly terminated scepter with one end having a robust component similar to the vertical one, whereas the other end consists of a thinner component that has a companion Amethyst growing in tandem with it! On the opposite side of the piece, eight orbs of light yellow-green, 0.5 to 0.7mm Prehnite decorate the Amethyst crystals with most of them congregated at their intersection. There is also a sparkling, drusy patch of Prehnite on a few of the terminal faces on this side that extends down onto one of the prism faces. Although thousands of these have been mined, this one stands out among a crowd.
