A USA classic from, perhaps, the early 1900s or the mid-1900s when pockets were found. This is a very rare aquamarine crystal from the famous tourmaline district around Topsham, Maine. The crystal is just under 10 grams, sharp, and stunningly bright and lustrous. It is a floater, doubly terminated. Larson obtained this from an old collection and removed it to the company display case by the late 1980s, as it has a period era hard plastic display label from that time. It is a truly important example of what it is, for a Maine gem crystal. The color is, in person, slightly different than most Brazilian material.
