Brookite and Rutile included in Quartz
Kharan Dist., Balochistan Region, Pakistan
Small Cabinet, 6.3 x 3.4 x 2.8 cm
SOLD

A sharp doubly terminated quartz crystal here serves as the host for rich inclusions of veins of fanciful needle-like rutile crystals forming nets within, and bigger sharp crystals of brookite to nearly 3 cm sticking out of the nest of dark rutile. The brookite is a long, bladed crystal that is mildly translucent and amber-brown with backlighting. While this is not a RARE inclusion per se, it is certainly rare in this kind of aesthetics within a quality quartz. A fine piece from recent finds, 2021-2022.
