Here we have a beautiful and unusual stalactite combination of two colorful copper species mixed together, that includes an underlayer of botryoidal Malachite that is covered by a more lustrous and bubbly, thin crust of glossy blue Chrysocolla. The longest stalactite is nearly four inches long and the other glossy botryoids and bubbles range in size from a half-inch to over an inch in size. The backside of the piece reveals the concentric layering of the Chrysocolla and the Malachite for added interest and aesthetics. A very attractive and dramatic specimen with unusual eye appeal for its shape as well as a mix of colors and textures. These unique combo pieces with the thick stalactites are from a pocket that came out in about 2016, and went directly to China (where we purchased it), as so many African minerals now travel to that market first due to the mining contractors and workers there in Africa at this moment in time.
