Velvety, shimmering surfaces are the most famous characteristic of the famous malachites from this classic old Chinese mineral locality, which goes back to the 1980s. However, recently, some new production has come out, and shapely, attractive specimens like this have come from a few small finds in 2018 through today. This specimen is a complete-all-around beauty, an excellent example in size class, featuring shimmering botryoidal (rounded) growths of gorgeous malachite. It is complete, and features numerous "eyeballs" within the malachite, caused by shimmering light reflecting off the crystals.
