An excellent and classic pseudomorph from the Ray copper mine in Arizona showing several spays of colorful, blue-green, prismatic Chrysocolla after Gypsum crystals with each spray composed of a few crystals in subparallel growth! These slender pseudomorphs reach two inches in length, have sharply formed crystal faces and edges with only minor damage, which is not uncommon for these. The Chrysocolla after Gypsum pseudomorphs are embellished with fine-grained clusters and crusts of black-green Tenorite. These pieces are difficult to obtain and are certainly worth picking up if one collects pseudomorphs, secondary species from ore deposits or minerals from Arizona!
