This is a gorgeous Quartz faden that really looks more like a super lustrous Selenite on casual inspection! Two, elongated, interconnected, diamond-shaped glassy Quartz crystals display a subtle, but distinct, string-like structure or "faden" through their interior from point to point. The faden line looks like a fuzzy thread running through the water-clear crystals. Two smaller, diamond-shaped Quartz crystals are in parallel growth at each end. This is a complete and uncontacted floater with glassy faces and razor-sharp edges. It is a superb specimen of its kind! While the material is common per se - in that you can get small and typical styles, this fat, robust crystal with unusual geometry stands out from the crowd and is one of few I have purchased recently.
