Pyromorphite
Bunker Hill Mine, Kellogg, Shoshone County, Idaho
Miniature, 5.4 x 3.7 x 2.0 cm
SOLD

Composed entirely of Pyromorphite, this piece consists of individual yellow-green isolated crystals and larger flattened crystal aggregates as a backdrop that form a kind of wave atop. Crystals in the foreground are sharp and yellow-green of hexagonal, barrel-shaped prisms with some grouped and others more isolated with drusy Pyromorphite crystals visible in between them. The larger, yellow-green crystals in the background are thinner in width, forming a great translucent background for the crystals at the bottom half of the piece. The color and textural difference make for a great miniature from this classic USA locality! This is from the original finds in the 1980s.
