This is a robust, massive specimen of pyromorphite that is simply huge compared to nearly all others, for crystal size and sheer impact. Extremely lustrous and translucent, this solid mass of pyromorphite crystals, individually to 2.5 cm in length, exhibits incipient hopper growth along the terminations and incredibly luster along the edge faces that are all stacked one upon another to create this monster of a specimen. I have never seen an example of this material that was so robust, with such mass, and in such good condition. It has the BEST saturated apple-green color for which this deposit is unequaled. This came out in 2014-ish in China to the market, and I bought it for my own China collection, but I suspect it was mined as much as a decade prior. Impactful, this solid wall of pyromorphite color is not like a common plate of small crystals. It is something fundamentally different.
