This is, for the size and luster, a stunning duo of Pyromorphite crystals from this very old, very classic German locality. The main crystal is robust and barrel-shaped measuring 1.8 cm in length and 1.4 cm across; its sidecar is smaller at 1.3 cm. These Pyromorphites are super lustrous and exhibit a two-toned, rich coffee brown through much of the body and a thin, 1 mm, translucent mocha color right at the top of the flat termination. It displays dramatically as a thumbnail, which frankly few of these do. This handsome piece is from the Bill and Anne Cook collection of thumbnails and comes with their label.
