This aquamarine has a strong "brightness" to it that is hard to capture and describe - just trust us that it is shockingly more sparkly in person than you expect, and not a typical quality. It is an intensely-colored and robust, sky-blue Aquamarine crystal with a Lepidolite rosette from the Shigar Valley in Pakistan. The Hindu Kush has produced some great Aquamarines and this one is very good! This impressive, completely transparent crystal is three and three-quarters inches long and an inch and a quarter wide with a glassy luster. It has beautiful sky-blue color, sharp prism face edges and natural longitudinal internal crazing that augments the reflectivity of the crystal faces! It has relatively sharp edges along the termination with remnants of Albite which slightly impairs a few of the corners near the top. A few nicks are present on the edges locally. For added interest there is a 1.3cm, elongated cluster of very pale lavender Lepidolite a third of the way up from the bottom. Contacted on and around the bottom. A spectacular Aquamarine that, in its size range, really stands out from others. It has to be seen in person to believe how sparkly it is - as if it is already cut and brilliant inside.
