Stolzite with Wulfenite
Proprietary Mine, Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia
Small Cabinet, 6.4 x 4.8 x 1.7 cm
SOLD

An incredibly rich old stolzite from the circa-1900-era workings here, that produced some of the best of species. This is a rich piece with a lot of sparkle and beautiful display contrast. The smaller orange crystals may be raspite, as well as wulfenite, as a bonus. Contrasting nicely with its black ore matrix, are tabular, lustrous and translucent, orange colored stolzite crystals, to 2 mm across. Accompanying the specimen are old labels from Al McGuinness, Ward's Natural Science and R.W.S. Doo collections. Almost impossible to find in such a rich specimen today...
