An antique style of robust and gemmy crystals of wulfenite we seldom see on the market, from the famous San Francisco Mine in Mexico - which many people believe to be the greatest wulfenite mine in the world, period. This matrix specimen hosts several sharp, intact crystals to 1.5 cm, that are gemmy and bright, with strong orange color. Nearly pristine, there are a few tiny dings or contacts only. This style is very unusual for the locality, found only a few times in its long history (I have been told this could be from the 1960s, but it could also be earlier). Matrix specimens are few, although occasionally you see a thumbnail sized crystal as a loose example. Stoudt collection, from Dave Bunk in 2014 out of the previous Bryce Colwell Collection.
