- Doroteja Mine, Mežica, Slovenia
- Miniature, 5.1 x 2.9 x 1.9 cm
- Ex. Tim Sherburn
Richly crystalline, unusual wulfenite with a butterscotch color, this is a choice miniature featuring sharp, lustrous crystals to over 1 cm. Wulfenite these days is more commonly known from different localities, but this comes from a classic old European locale in Slovenia, not often seen on the market these days. Mežica was known to be the largest lead and zinc ore deposit in Slovenia with the highest production between 1950 and 1955.
