This mine has been producing small pockets of some of the most beautiful amethyst yet found in North America; however, they are not common in this quality. This piece is complete all around, pristine, SHARP with a deep purple cap that almost looks airbrushed, rapidly transitioning into a milky white to purplish base. The piece actually consists of two crystals in parallel growth, one larger and one smaller with two distinct, and very sharp points. A very pretty miniature example of the gemmy amethyst discovered in recent years and one can see why these are so popular. Simply gorgeous!
