A very attractive pair of well-terminated, pristine, complete-all-around Microcline crystals, set on a matrix of small Microcline crystals. The Microclines are lustrous, porcelain in texture and color, with textbook form. The tallest is 5.0 cm. To very nice effect, a pair of opposite faces are preferentially overgrown with lustrous and transparent light-gray Microcline, possibly due to "polysynthetic twinning." There are even several gemmy Aquamarines to 1.5 cm growing among the matrix Microclines. This is an exceptional and aesthetic combination, especially with the way the crystals rise up from the sculptural matrix. It is a feldspar worthy of sitting next to gem crystals, for structure and form.
