An extraordinary Pingwu location piece that features three snow-white Microcline crystals as the dominant mineral with Muscovite and Aquamarine as accessories - a primary feldspar specimen instead of the usual more glamorous species we perhaps expect from here of cassiterite, scheelite, and aquamarine. That makes it all the more interesting and in fact, it is highly aesthetic and starkly dramatic on its own merit for a feldspar from anywhere, even if the species has not been spotlighted from here particularly well before. The trio of blocky, textbook Microcline crystals measure 4.5, 3.9 and 2.5 cm in maximum dimension, respectively. The Microclines are partially encircled by elongate nests of silvery 4 to 6 mm, platy Muscovite crystals for great accent. On one side there is a pair of mostly complete, light sky-blue, tabular Aquamarine crystals for wonderful contrast and aesthetics in conjunction with the bright white Microclines. The Aquas are glassy, transparent to translucent displaying numerous small growth hillocks on many faces. The Microcline crystals are in excellent condition. This combination piece is well composed and well balanced; a very unique combination specimen from this important modern-era (1990s-today on and off) locality.
