- Analcime with Natrolite
- Small Cabinet, 7.3 x 5.5 x 4.8 cm
- Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec, Canada
The famous alkaline massif at Mont St Hilaire has produced a lot of good analcime specimens, but this stands out as display-worthy in its size class. This outstanding specimen features a very large, lustrous, opaque, white analcime crystal measuring 6 cm across surrounded by smaller crystals of the same species plus a bonus - a small cluster of lustrous white natrolite, in crystals to 9 mm in length. It is an unusually aesthetic example in this size, from an important (perhaps THE important...) Canadian locality.
