This is a fine, single crystal of satin lustered and translucent, snow-white Natrolite from Tanzania. It is a superb, stout and well formed tetragonal crystal with well defined faces and a perfect, pyramidal termination that competes with some of the best from Chimney Rock, New Jersey. The prism faces have a combined satin to almost pearly and vitreous luster and it's translucent overall with some transparent areas revealed when backlit. This is a major example for the species, and a surprising new find that apparently came out quietly during COVID and I had not heard about it until seeing one small assemblage of these. In any case, a ghostly white, really nice crystal of a very rarely well-crystallized species.
