From the famous finds of the late 1970s and early 1980s, these prized Rhodochrosites only turn up in old collections. This pair of classic scalenohedral crystals complement each other beautifully with form, gemminess and luster that are quite good. There is only the most minimal of wear on the tips, which is far less than normally seen. It is hard to deny the overall quality and visual beauty of this thumbnail from one of the pre-eminent mines in modern times.
