A fairly gemmy and included, 2.0 cm emerald crystal with good color, with pyrite on albite matrix from the famous Chivor Mine of Colombia. There is also an adjacent acessory emerald crystal. Ex Ruggiero Collection and formerly in the famous Carl Bosch and Smithsonian Collections. Carl Bosch was a very prominent European collector who lived from 1874-1940. The Smithsonian purchased his collection in 1965, which numbered 25, 000 mineral specimens! The HANDWRITTEN BOSCH label and the Smithsonian label number indicates an old piece.
