Twinned smoky quartzes are rare to begin with, and closed twins like this even more so. From this particular locality, now within a national park and illegal to collect from, they are truly a treasure! This is thus a fascinating and unusual specimen from one of the world's best smoky localities: this gem has everything from being transparent to lustrous, to twinned. The crystal measures about 1.8 cm tall.
