Azurite, Malachite
Czar Mine (Czar Shaft), Copper Queen Mine (Halero Mine), Queen Hill, Bisbee, Warren District, Mule Mts, Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
Small Cabinet, 7.3 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm
Usually it is the azurite that is the star of these old Bisbee combo pieces, but in this case it is the extraordinary shimmering luster and gorgeous deep green color of the malachite. The larger cluster of azurite has a bruise on the front, but as you can see, it does not detract much from the beauty of the specimen, and in fact, the sparkly nature of the azurite rosette minimizes this minor detraction. For color, balance and form, this is really quite a desirable specimen from a classic locality. 7.3 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm
