These historic specimens of cuprite are still unique in the world. This is an unusually aesthetic malachite-cuprite specimen with great geometry to these remarkably 3-dimensional crystals. The largest crystal of this two-crystal composite reaches 4 cm in size and both show a combination of octahedral, cubic and dodecahedral forms! The malachite coating on these is bright green and slightly textured, as if the green fell like a blanket on top. These are big and unusually freestanding crystals on a pedestal of ivory-colored, crystalline calcite matrix! This is a classic piece from the famous Emke Mine at Onganja, Namibia. These came out in the early 1970s, with none found since. Formerly in the collection of Francesco Bedogne of Sondrio, Italy.
