An OLD-TIME and CLASSIC specimen from the famous Copper Queen Mine at Bisbee. Highly lustrous, dark blue azurite blades are RICHLY scattered on a hollow, skull-like gossan crust covered with botryoidal malchite. This very showy, historical piece was formerly in the Smithsonian Collection and was acquired by Tribbey, Dr. Gene in 1972, according to another card with the piece. Easily around 100 years old.
