Wulfenite
Rowley Mine, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA
Miniature, 5.5 x 3.6 x 2.3 cm
SOLD
THIS SPECIMEN is like a JEWEL! It glows with color! Drusy, orange, "rice grains" of mimetite underlie three, clear, glassy, yellow-orange wulfenite crystals. The largest crystal reaches 1.1 cm across, which is of really considerable size for the mine! Usually you get clusters of these delicate crystals, intergrown together. A matrix specimen like this, which is more sturdy (and shippable!@) is uncommon. This specimen is very aesthetic overall, because the whole surface is colorful, but those glassy, c lear crystals really ought to be seen in person if you are tempted...its much better than it looks!
