This structurally hexagonal but etched, complex goshenite has a subtle and mesmerizing formation to it, layers and layers of growths inside that have more and more detail as you look closely. It is sparkling, clear, transparent, glassy, and totally colorless. Completely colorless beryl, goshenite, is actually more rare in nature than aquamarines and morganites for some reason. This is a large miniature and super-impactful on display in a showcase or a shelf. It has been in the company collection of Pala Intl for decades and dates to the 1980s acquisitions, but likely is from older material. It is one of our favorites in the collection. At first glance, it looks like quartz, until you notice the hexagonal outline.
