GEMMY crystals of transparent to translucent hemimorphite decorate a slender plate of limonite matrix, on this special specimen from the Potosi Shaft at Ojuela. This is extremely rare for the species, and the piece is gorgeous, lustrous, and sparkles like glass - with a far higher luster than examples of hemimorphite usually have. In fact, it looks more like a gem baryte or celestine, at first. The specimen is in nearly pristine condition, with the largest and quite sharp crystal to 3 cm across. For the species, this is a tremendous specimen of a rare style, even though Ojuela has produced so many of other styles.
