With crystals to 4.5 cm, rising majestically from a common center, this is an outstanding example of the famous large hemimorphites that came out in the 1980s, and made this locality in Mexico a world class source for this species. Hemimorphite, while common enough worldwide as druses and coatings, rounded bubbles on rock, is simply rare in large crystals. One side is stark snowy-white like porcelain; while the other has a reddish cast to it. Both are gorgeous, and it can display either way. The secondary coating of reddish small sparkly crystals, like sugar, seems to be tiny calcites. These crystals reach nearly 2 inches and are splayed particularly well. Note that this is a bit delicate in terms of packing and shipping overseas, so we prefer this stay within the USA or can try to arrange hand delivery if overseas.
