California amethyst - and with color! A diverging cluster of lustrous amethyst crystals totally covers the display side of this specimen. The crystals generally have milky to faint amethyst cores and exhibit richer purple color at the terminations, yielding an overall splaying-out and dramatic look. There are several with well developed phantoms. A few crystals on the peripheral exhibit damage but do not materially affect the quality of the specimen!
