Malachite from Germany is one of those things you hear about, but seldom see for sale in good quality. This is an old specimen from an uncommon locale. It could be trimmed, actually, into a stellar display-quality miniature, with a little work (and probably worth more, too), but I thought i'd offer it big to start with. The cluster of malachite features individual chatoyant blades with brilliant silky luster, and measures about 4 x 4 x 2.5 cm overall.
