A large, very rich specimen from the exciting find covered in the February issue of the Min. Record. New wulfenite finds are of course quite uncommon, and in China there has been only one minor one over the past few decades. But this recent find is characterized by these deep red crystals in a rich profusion on the matrix. The crystals are not large, but are quite lustrous, and are isolated on the matrix rather than massed together, which adds to the attractiveness.
