From this singularly unique and now classic New England occurrence is this stout, equant miniature from the 1981-1982 finds at this surprising locality. These today are considered East Coast treasures as they are beautiful and less than 600 pieces were recovered at that time, so these are closely held in collections. This piece consists of a gorgeous, gemmy purple, Amethyst crystal perched on a stout, milky white Quartz crystal that we simply refer to as "scepters". The Amethyst has sharp faces and edges with only one tiny ding on an edge on what would be the backside. Few people get to own a really good one and this one, essentially pristine, is very good indeed. Special quality for the size, this is from the one famous find. Ex Sal Avella and Dick Hauck collections.
