We have offered a variety of specimens from this unusual quartz find in Kenya - from whopper crystals to smaller, more Brandberg-like crystals, as this one is. On close inspection, you can see that this floater specimen is one crystal that has wrapped itself around another. It has alternating blushes of smoky and purple hues. Some of the faces are glassy; others have shallow mesa-like epitaxial growth that gives them a pebbly look.
