Here is a monster amethyst crystal from a locality unfamiliar to most collectors: the Rift Valley of Kenya. This monster is DOUBLY-TERMINATED, with multiple terminations on one end. The color is beautifully isolated in a purple blush in the interior. Inside, you can also see where skeletal growth occurred during the growth of the crystal, and later these were engulfed as the crystal grew, so you see these shimmering layered areas toward one end of the crystal. What a powerfully impressive quartz specimen, and from an uncommon locality!
