In the early 2000s, these remarkable extended clusters of apatite crystals came out of Brazil in one large pocket followed by a few smaller, each with a bit of a different style. I believe this is the first pocket (circa 2003, if memory serves). They remain a classic today of Brazilian mineral finds. This is a particularly fine, elongated cluster with incredible luster and good form. Almost all of them were repaired, put back together from a collapsed pocket, like a jigsaw puzzle. The pieces lock-fit. This seems to have 3 repairs (all clean, visible under UV light only). Very few examples above 10 cm were found.
