A beautiful flowery cluster of grayish curved Calcite crystals from the Herja Mine in Romania. This is a rare, large, very attractive matrix piece from here that consists of a complex, intergrown series of around seven, lustrous, saddle-shaped crystals up to 6 cm across moderately included by fine-grained Jamesonite. Overall, the crystals are a medium gray with light dove-gray (to almost whitish at edges), the gray color resulting from a huge number of tiny and extremely fine Jamestonite needles within. The big "flower" is set on a Sphalerite matrix coated in small, sparkling Quartz crystals providing exceptional presentation. The piece is very aesthetic and in pristine condition. It is a superb example for the size. It is elegant, and perfect, and a complete floater all around with no damage. An old timer from the 1980s or 1990s
