Intersecting clusters of bladed Baryte form an attractive, cabinet-sized specimen that is classic Herja. Reaching up to 3 cm across, the individual blades have an excellent luster that, along with being translucent to gemmy, really enhances the attractive blue color. As is almost always the case with this material, some of the crystal edges have been cleaved or worn, but the blades are so numerous it is not even noticeable except on careful inspection, certainly not at a glance. The color, luster, and size of the piece combine to create a very pretty aesthetic, better than you often find. This is old material from the 1980s and early 1990s, and we do not see it for sale now. It has a very intense blue color that was not found often in this location, nor in any Baryte.
