This is a splendid Brazilian miniature that has several doubly terminated Rose Quartz crystals growing on milky Quartz, like a flower. A cluster of pink, parallel growth, doubly terminated crystals of Rose Quartz adorn a "matrix" consisting of a milky Quartz crystal and some small, indistinct, snow-white Albite crystals. The translucent, pastel pink Rose Quartz crystals are from 1.7 to 4.9 cm in length and all of them are doubly terminated and they are stacked and in perfect parallel growth. Rose Quartz crystals this size are rare enough and we have never seen them in this parallel arrangement before and certainly not at this size! The contrast with the milky Quartz and white Albite is a nice touch as well. This is a particularly aesthetic and well composed Rose Quartz specimen with excellent color and crystallization. Crystallized Rose Quartz is not as common as people like to think, and great ones like this miniature are hard to come by. Probably from older material about early 2000s, although hard to say now.
