From a spectacular, one-time find at Mundo Nuevo several years ago comes this sparkling combination specimen of Hubnerite, Tetrahedrite, Pyrite and Quartz. This is a very unusual combination from here or any world locality, for that matter. The substrate for this attractive piece is a cluster of 1 to 2 cm, bright, steel-gray metallic Tetrahedrite crystals upon which several 1 cm brilliant Pyrite crystals rest. The piece is then enhanced by several bladed, prismatic Hubnerite crystals of deep red-brown color to 2.5 cm. These sharply formed, almost knife-like Hubnerites are super lustrous, and moderately intense backlighting reveals their deep red internal color. For added aesthetics, several artistic bundles of clear Quartz crystals to 3.5 cm in length are strategically set on this wonderful and showy combination piece. This is a unique combo from this locality that combines diversity in color, luster and texture that hasn't been duplicated since.
